  • 1.  Is there any way to get actuals on a project without using the timesheet function?

We're looking to engage the system for Demand Management but users already use a separate system for timesheets. Our fear is they would resist using two systems, so we're looking for way to manually enter time for actuals in the system.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Yes, it is possible to add manually the actual directly to the assignment using Open Workbench (You have to change the resource's track mode to "None")

You can update the actual from other tools (with an import using XOG) (you have to change the resource's track mode to "Others")

If you do not care who is doing what (time tracking) and just want to track the $ on the project, you can just enter a transaction against the project for all the labor. It is what we did here until we deployed Time Tracking.

You can also bring in actuals from MSP as well.

More information as to your exact requirements can assist in providing a better solution.

    For example:

         - Do you want each individuals time per task?

         - Do you want each individuals time, but only at the project level? Summary task level?

         - Only interested in the consolidated time for all users at the task level?
