XOG of the discussions has never been possible I'm afraid.
They could be read from a system using an NSQL query crafted to fetch the right data (as a workaround) but there would be no way to write this back into the system again.
It was raised as an enhancement request a long time ago (circa 2007) on our internal systems, but it had been closed as something that there would be no plans on implementing in the foreseeable timeframes back then. There were not a significant amount of requests asking for this either.
Times change though, and so have our systems, so if this is something you'd like to see get consideration for being added to the product in future please raise an Idea post on this site to bring it to the attention of the product management team. Other customers who are wanting this functionality may also be able to add their vote of support for it too.
