CABI 3.3 sp2 failed

    We tried to install CABI 3.3 sp2 for our incoming application upgrade 14.2 and uninstalled our existing CABI 3.3 from report server, then we removed all registries per suggested by CA below

    we restarted BO server and discovered the error >failed for the following command-line:

      e:\install\Cabi 3.3 SP2\DVD02155537E\Disk1\cabi\package\BusinessObjects.msiinstmsiw.exe
    /c:"msiinit.exe /delayrebootq"

     

    Any idea about above error will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Grace,

     

    You can try the following steps:

     

    A) If any Anti Virus - please disable it

     

    B) Run the Registry tool to clean the registry

     

    C) Restart the system

     

    D) Run the Cabi Installation............... if the installation fail again then seems like registry is damaged, then please use the clean system or re-image the existing system to perofrm the new installation.

    We had no luck with instructions provided. Problem persists.

     

    I think we will build a brand new server instead☹
