Any way to filter for a particular year in a time-varying attribute?

Hi Friends,

 

We have a custom object and a grid portlet made from that object. It has a time-varying attribute. Other than the Time Period settings page given below, I want to provide users with a filter pulldown attribute specifying the year, so that the portlet data in the time-varying field will reflect the filter YEAR that the user has chosen.

 

Is there any way I could achieve this in this object-based portlet?

This is how the application is currently designed and there is no way to pick a 'period' for a calendar type TSV.

 

There are a few ideas regarding TSV configurations and types of periods.

Please log an idea if one of the existing ones does not match your idea.
