Portfolio Management: Program Financials

Hi all,

 

If I was to create a Portfolio consisting of just Programs, how does the financial data flow into the Portfolio if the Financial Summary page is not completed on the Program or if the Program does not have a Cost Plan, Budget, Benefit Plan? What if people are relying on Project data via the heriachry to account for the Programs data.

 

Do heirarchy values from the indivudal projects carry over to the Portfolio and populate the Portfolio's Planned Cost, Planned Opearating, etc... that is found on the Portfolio's Investment Page.

I did the following -

1. Created a project (Start = 2/19/2014 ; Finish = 2/25/2015) and created a financial plan (monthly - from 1/1/2014 - 12/31/2014) with 10000 as planned cost

2. Created a program (Start = 2/19/2014 ; Finish = 2/25/2015), and added the above project as the child

3. Created a portfolio (Start = 8/1/2014 ; Finish = 12/31/2014) ; Capital Cost = 10,000.00 ; Operating Cost = 10,000.00 ; Benefits = 10,000.00, and included the above program

 

I've attached as to what I see on the Investments Page of the portfolio
