  • 1.  Can't hide a task in the menu

    Hi,
    We create an Identity Manager Task to be accesed only by Web Service.
    We set "Enable Web Services" in the Profile tab of the task.
    The task can be executed via Web Service correctly.

    We also need that the Task is hidden from the menu.
    The "Hide In Menus" property is set, but the task is still visible.

    What else do we need to set to hide the Task?
    What do you recommend?

    - Identity Manager 12.6 sp8
    - Jboss 6.4

    I just tested with my IM 14.3 CP1 system and enabling the "Hide In Menu" checkbox on the task made the task hidden in the IM User Console as expected. Perhaps that task you are seeing has the same visible UI name but is not the same task you modified to enable the Hide checkbox.

    Another thought is that if this task is only intended to be used via Web Services and is only intended to be used by certain IDs then perhaps you should have this task only included in specific Admin Role which normal UI interactive users do not have. That would also lead to the task not being visible in the IM User Console when a user without that Admin Role logs in.
