  • 1.  Issue with Template creation post migration to 14.2 vAPP

    Posted Oct 01, 2019 10:11 AM
    Hello,

    We have migrated the environment to 14.2 vApp from legacy system. After migration , we could still see that task which refer to active directory account template , still points to old screens. Due to this , we are not able to create or modify templates.

    Attaching the server logs and screenshots.

    Can anyone please assist ?

    Thanks,
    Shashank

    Please specify the exact steps done during migration/upgrade. The provisioning data migration would only be valid if the original and new system is running the same version of the product and if both installed with same passwords and same options. You cannot take provisioning data from one version of the product and directly load it into another version of the product.

    I looked at the screenshots and it is not clear to me what you are referring to regarding "old" screens on the IM task. Please clarify what you were expecting to be different.

    Hello,

    We were running IDM 12.6 SP4 , then we planned to migrate this to 14.2 vApp. We followed following steps: -

    1. We setup 14.2 vApp. Imported the active directory role def files from management console.
    2. Using the MigrateX utility, we prepared the files to be imported for corporate store , provisioning store and role-def files.
    3. We imported the data prepared in step 2 above.

    We are connected to the endpoint and are able to provision. But when we try to create account template from screen , we face an issue as shown in the attachment which has screenshot from the task and the error faced.

    We checked the version of ActiveDirectory role definition file and can see that following version is imported already :-
    <Roledef tag="ActiveDirectory" roledef="ActiveDirectory-RoleDef.xml" version="1.17" roledefFormatVersion="1.0" matchProductVersion="14.2"/>

    Thank,
