    Hi

With Oracle DB version 12cR1 (12.1) mainstream support ending on July 2019, customers who are not running an Identity Suite version 14.2 had asked us to certify Oracle DB 12cR2 (12.2) DB solution on the following supported version of the Identity Suite:

    • Identity Manager: 12.6.8, 14.0 and 14.1
    • Identity Governance: 12.6.5, 14.0 and 14.1
    • Identity Portal: 1.6.2, 14.0 and 14.1
    • Virtual Appliance : 14.1

We are happy to announce that customer who wants to keep using their current, pre-14.2 version, can now move their DB solution to Oracle 12cR2 (12.2).

The only requirements from the product is to update the JDBC drivers to version 7 and update the driver JAR file in your respected application server.

Please note the reasonable commercial effort statement in the end of this announcement for more details about our support offering.

    Reasonable Commercial Effort Statement

CA Technical Support will make a reasonable commercial effort to troubleshoot and/or resolve customer support requests that involve the use of currently supported versions of CA Identity Suite components on or with "unsupported" platforms as follows:

    • CA Technical Support will accept support incidents (support requests) involving a software platform or a combination of software platforms that is not officially supported per the then-current CA published platform support matrices. CA will troubleshoot the issue up to the point that CA has reason to believe that the problem is related to the use of software that is not specified in a then-current platform supported matrix. At such point, CA shall require that the customer reproduce the problem on a fully supported combination of platforms before CA proceeds in troubleshooting the incident.

    Additional Notes:

    • Please make sure you are familiar with your product end of service dates:

CA Identity Manager Release and Support Lifecycle Dates - CA Technologies

    • Virtual Appliance customers running version 14.1 will be able to update the JDBC driver in the next cumulative patch (CP9).

    Thanks in advance
