CA Identity Suite virtual appliance - modify user organization

Hello,

 

in the vApp user store, the configuration does not allow to change organization. The standard task (i.e. Modify User) does not allow to change org.

 

With some customization and java code, I was able to modify a user organization (JNDI, ctx.rename(currentDN, newDN)), but I wonder if there is a better way to do that, instead of custom code, or some set of PXs ready to use.

Hello Massimo,

 

Change organization is not supported OOTB.

 

I believe that it was raised an idea to add this to CA IM capability in the past.

Try to search it and vote for it if you believe that this should be available without implementing custom code.

Changing the organization is currently not supported.

As written before me there is an IDEA (enhancement request) on the matter. 

You can vote on it.

thanks for your answers. One of the first things the customer asked for is change organization, this is normal and I found this use case in almost all the IDM projects I followed.

 

So, I don't understand why an "IDEA" is needed, when the requirement is so straightforward!!!
