Enhancement Request: Export - Import between different versions of IdentityPortal

Summary:

Capability to export and import configuration between versions of IdentityPortal

 

Scenario:

• Customer implementation of IdentityPortal: legacy version 12.6
• Customer's new environment is IdentityPortal 14.1
• Customer would like to export the following configuration settings from 12.6
  • Connectors
  • Profiles
  • Forms
  • Searches
  • Tasks
  • Modules
• Currently we create these configuration objects manually
• Customer would like to import these settings to 14.1
• Current tool set does not allow for an import of exported data from v12.6 (there is export and import capability, both no translation between the two versions of the product)

Challenges:

• Tedious and man-power intense
• Prone to user typos and operator errors

Impact:

• Inability to perform a parallel upgrade of IdentityPortal from v12.6 to v14.0 or v14.1 etc.
• For those in the know, most customer upgrades are parallel stack upgrades

Enhancement:

• A tool/utility to allow for translation of export/import files
• Or an integrated import utility that performs translation between 12.6 JSON to 14.0 or 14.1 JSON etc. as needed
