We are installing CA Identity Governance 14.2 Linux version in client environment.

As per client policy we are not supposed to use “/tmp” location for any purpose. Since CA installer uses “/tmp” location for copying and extracting files, we changed the “IATEMPDIR” to point to different location, say /apps/CAInstalls/tmp < export IATEMPDIR=/apps/CAInstalls/tmp >.

All the installers are copied to /apps/CAInstalls directory, permissions are set to 755, OWNER & GROUP are set to eapadmin (non root user), see the screenshot for reference.

We ran the install script “InstCAIdentityGovernance.bin” using eapadmin (non root user). Once the installation is complete, we could see “You have successfully installed CA Identity Governance” message, but in install logs we found a WARNING entry.

    Install logs for warning:
    Copy Folder:              Destination: /

                              Status: WARNING

Additional Notes: WARNING - There was a problem copying /apps/CAInstalls/tmp/183882.tmp/assembly/Utils&Conf/Workpoint Change Port

Upon starting the jboss from /apps/CA/RCM/Server/eurekify-jboss/bin/, we found no progress in eurekify logs after

On accessing http://<hostname>:8080 we could see the WildFly welcome screen, but http://<hostname>:8080/eurekify/portal is not coming up.

Not sure what is preventing IG getting deployed in Jboss.

Based on my experience IG installation script needs to be run using "root".

Probably the "eapadmin" account is created on-the-fly at installation time, but quite sure that it doesn't have all required permission to deploy EAR to JBoss. Check JBoss directory installation and look for RW permission.

If your only problem is to deploy EAR, you can manually do it.

If I remember correctly, you can find how to do it in the cluster section.

    Let us know,

    regards, Roberto

Please open a support case and attach the installation logs and startup logs.

Hi Rob and Nino, thanks for responding, we figured out the issue here.

When we did the initial install, we were missing the installer zip for PDI. We had that installer zip and did another install, then we were seeing "Server not fully up yet" in the logs. But after waiting for 3 to 4 mins, we could access Identity Governance console.

What support guys told us is, for the first time it might have taken more time to deploy the file and it should be okay in the consecutive attempts. Also, they provided us steps to check (Administration-> System Checkup->Workpoint Checkup) if the install completed without any issues.

    Hello Lakshman,

Can you share any documentation on the steps for Workpoint Checkup. We are seeing an issue with it.

    Thank you,

    Rajya

    Hi Rajya,

For checking the Workpoint status, execute following steps.

Navigate to Administration-> System Checkup->Workpoint Checkup.

Click on Start button at the end.

You should see this alert message. Then click on Go to tickets at the end.

Click on Admin view. You should see a green tick for the Workpoint checkup that has been done along with the right time stamp.

    Thanks

    Lakshman
