We have the following checked :
1. IDM works fine not issues with task execution etc
2. IDM log level set to DEBUG
3. WLS has log set to DEBUG also redirect std out to log file enabled
However I do not see any IMS logs in the WLS log file. (managed nodes, also checked the admin node )?
In the ca installation log it just says that the IM log will be sent to the standard out put console nothing more. What am I missing here.

By default, the local server log file is located in the logs directory below the server instance root directory; for example, DOMAIN_NAME\servers\SERVER_NAME\logs\SERVER_NAME.log
We have the suggested log but it only shows information related to the weblogic and nothing about the IM or any task being executed or the policy being fired anything.
This is being discussed, in parallel, in a Support case too. None of the IM related messages (startup steps etc) are visible in the log, though IM seems to be up an running. Currently looking into the possibility this is either resources issue or Weblogic server specific setup
As confirmed by Gaurav - The WLS admin set the Minimum severity log level to warning and information is now visible in the logs .
