If the data appears for a short time but then stops, the first place we'd want to look is the state of the devices polling configuration and what the polling logging shows for it.
This page shows how to enable Data Collector logging, gather it, and then disable it. Note if it's disabled before it's gathered/collected, it's lost and needs to be recreated.
