    Hi ,
We are running CA PM 3.6 on linux , Today I noticed the DR backup not happened after May 13 and not sure why it is.

    1. Where to check the logs why backup not happening?.
    2. I tried to su to dradmin but it asks change the password.
    $ su - dradmin
    Password:
You are required to change your password immediately (password aged)
    Changing password for dradmin.
    (current) UNIX password:
    3. Do we require to change the password frequently? how do we get notify ?
    4. If password needs to be change , what are all the places required changes so that functions should not impact

Please help me here to resolve this.

    Thanks.

Don't think CA PM would prompt you to change passwords, it could be something to do with the password policy set in your environment .

Take a look at the below article

    Hi Phani,
Thanks for the reply. I have 2 issues:

       1. DR backup not happening not sure where to check the log.Guide me pls.
       2. Since the DB not happening , I tried to manually su - dradmin to run the backup job and during that time it asks for the password.

I have gone through the link which you provided so just changing the password for dradmin
        a. Will resolve the backup issue?.
        b. It won't impact the any functionalities of components correct?.
        c. Automatically DR and DA will understand the change of password.
        d. No need of restart any service?.
        c. Any other files required to modify.

           Please let me know.

    Hi,

the requirement to change the password is a requirement by your external authentication system. Might it be LDAP, or anything similiar that the linux server uses for authenticating the account.
As the password shouldn't be entered in any configuration file, i would expect the password change to not have any impact on the application at all. But as this is only what i think / expect, somebody from Broadcom should confirm it.
