Dear all, the alarming is related to an event - so all activity in Spectrum is the generation of events. Once the event is configured to raise an alarm, then the alarm is created. At the logical level then another event should be configured to cover the clear alarm action (if possible). Say - you can not just clear an alarm - you need to create an event which then clears the alarm.
At this point, it is important to know the general event and alarm logic.
Having events & alarms raised for a device - and then just to drop them away - is potentially not a good solution.
Consider this:
- do you need this alarm in general - if not - then disable for the initial event the configuration / so not to raise an alarm.
- do you need this alarm for specific model-types - but not in general, then configure the event and alarm config for a specific model-type only
- is this alarm in some sort of important character - but not in general - then configure the alarm-age out. So you will see them .. but cleared then automatically
- to implement a script - ie. via CLI - then raise "clearing event" for the model/model-handle which has the asserted alarm
hth ..
cheers, Joerg

You can set alarm age-out time which will take care alarm clearing automatically. Note that, this is a global setting and applicable to all user clearable alarms.
Select Explorer Tab --> Go to Universe --> Select VNM model --> Expand Alarm Management --> Set value (in hours) at Alarm Age-Out Time (in Hours).

Thank you.

I need some commands / automation, which will help me to keep specrrum clean.
There are some alarms which will fire and wont auto-clear by itself, currently i am clearing it manually.
Is there a way to use destroy alarm CLI command in Powershell?
