    Dear all,

it appears that the default setup for CA Spectrum - when installing the product with enabled Component "OC-Server" then also brings in the "active option" "ReportManager". So this install then will cover the full CA Spectrum OC-server with ReportManager option.

By default the ReportManager is then collecting all expected "event"/"asset" and "alarm" info from all (accessible) SpectroSERVERs. This can cause the disk (partition) hosting $SPECROOT/mysql/data (especially the "reporting" directory/database) to increase to very big allocation size.

Please consider to disable the OC/SRM-Tomcat server to collect all "SRM"/ReportManager data. You can do so via OC-Weblogon / Administration / ReportManager -> SPECTRUM Status (and to disable the data collection per landscape).

In addition via Preferences to set Policy to "purge" - which then controls the "reporting" database is acting like a FIFO.

When reconfiguring the ReportManager Preferences - here most important from default (all data == save everything all time) to "purge" this will then affect the "reporting" database and will free diskspace after one day.

    Kind regards, Joerg

The disk space will not be returned until the database is run through the optimizer.

Which should be run at least once a month on any mysql database.
