  • 1.  Spectrum Default Domain Global Collection used by CAPC emptied

    Posted Aug 30, 2017 02:43 AM

    I have just realized that the Spectrum Global Collection "Default Domain" for which I had defined selection rules, got emptied.

    - Has this happened to other users ?

    - How can it happen ?

    - How can I find out when it happened ?

    It means that all new devices entered in Spectrum since that (unknown) date were not registered in CAPC :-(

    thanks, Veronique

    Hi Veronique,

    A Global Collection's (GC) members will be defined by the search criteria you set for it. So really, there are only two possibilities here;

    1. No models validly meet the search criteria of the GC any longer
    2. The version of Spectrum you're running may have a known issue relating to GC operation in certain circumstances that results in this.

    Best way to find out which is to open a support ticket and include the Spectrum version ($SPECROOT/Install-Tools/.history file), the CAPM version and an attribute dump of a model you believe should meet the search criteria of the GC. This can be obtained as follows on the SpectroSERVER:

    cd $SPECROOT/vnmsh

    ./connect

    ./show attributes mh=<Model handle of desired model> >>  model.dmp

    Thanks.

    By emptied I meant that the definition of the GC itself disappeared ! (

    I am running Spectrum 10.2.0.0.245.
