  • 1.  Suppress multiple BAD LINK DETECTED on the same device

    Posted Jan 16, 2017 08:38 AM

    Here is my situation:

I have some remote locations with often suffers from power outages. The core/distribution switches are supported by more robust UPS than the access switches. Some access switches are not even connected to an UPS.

When the power outage extends for longer than the UPS's of the access switches supports I end up with a BAD LINK DETECTED alarm for each access switch.

I want to create a rule/condition correlation to suppress/clear those alarms and, ideally, create another alarm describing the situation.

    Any idea?

    Hi Renato,

I would suggest to use the Condition Correlation.

How to Configure a Condition Correlation for a Power Outage

How to Configure a Condition Correlation for a Power Outage - CA Spectrum - 10.2 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Thanks,

I'll try that. But I forget to mention that many access switches are not connected to any UPS.
