    Hi

    Using CA Spectrum 10.1.1.

We have the following setup for a customer:

5 voice gateways that are each behind a different MPLS network. The voice gateways are monitored using SNMP, the MPLS routers using ping. So 5 VG and 5 MPLS routers.
If the MPLS routers are down, we don't want an alarm of the voice gateways behind them. However, since it's only ping we're using, they're not surpressed. (snmp is not an option here)
I was thinking about using condition correlation in this case, but I just cannot seem to get my head around it to set it up.

    So as an example:

MPLS1 10.254.1.1 has VG1 10.254.1.2 connected. If VG1 is down AND MPLS1 is down, no alarm for the VG1.
If only VG1 is down, alarm for the VG1.

To make this more complicated, everything is running in a shared landscape, so we have different customers in the same landscape. So using event pairing is not an option as well.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    thanks

I’m not sure this can easily be done given the mix of settings you’ll need for different customers.  Service Manager might achieve this, but that is not my area of expertise so maybe someone else has a thought.

    Cheers
