    Question:

Can the individual functions in the Spectrum Event Configuration Editor (ECEditor) be privileged?

    Environment:

    Spectrum 9.x

    Spectrum 10.x

    Answer:

Recently, questions have arisen as to whether users could be allowed to only change alarm severity in the Event Configuration Editor. Which would prevent them from modifying the Event message or creating a new Event. As well as, preventing any other changes to the alarm information.

No, if a Spectrum user is granted permission to access the Event Configuration Editor, then they will have access to all of the functions in that utility.
