    Can Spectrum (v10.0) query interface light levels and provide that info on the view port for the device interfaces?

    Hi,

     

    I can't answer this specifically, but this depends on the certification. In most cases, I would say not by default. You can load MIBs and then create watches to look at specific OID's but this would mean that you would need to find the MIB and the relevant OID's. I've not had to use this before, but I've done something similar for 3G signal strength and/or other custom OID's.

     

    You would also need to edit the OneClick XML to show this new info.

    You will first have to contact the vendor to see if they have a mib that contains this information.

    If so, check if Spectrum supports these mibs for these devices. This can be done by launching the Model Type Editor and running a search on a few of the attributes in this mib.     If Spectrum supports these mibs, then you should be able to create OneClick subview and use the Watch Editor to create a SpectroWatch to monitor and alarm when needed.     If the vendor does have a mib but it is not support in Spectrum, then you can use MOB Tools to compile and map the mib attributes to the SpectroSERVER database.
