  • 1.  NCM Device Families / Grouping based on credentials

    Hi All,

We have different landscapes that are for different customers which use different credentials and have different scripts to get configs. Is this possible?

Is it possible to have different device families based on what scripts I want to run? I have 3 different 'Device Families' which I've set up and the filters pick up the correct devices, but how to I get the devices to not be in the default 'Cisco IOS' or 'Cisco IOS - SSH Capable' families?

I want to pick the devices and tell it to use specific device families I have defined (as the scripts are slightly different?) - e.g. the one scripts ssh'es to a jump box and then ssh'es again from there? The other script is a better version of the default one, then the last one uses a different jumpbox. The scripts work from the command line but no idea how I'd implement this.

    Regards,

    Frank

    Frank,

I'm pretty sure you cannot override the default Device Families. I have the same situation as you, but the default Device Families always take over.
