    Hi Mustafa,

What happens when you attempt to model the 2k series devices?

We should have support for those, so let us know how Spectrum is modeling those.

    Thanks!

    Hi Matthew,

actually 2k switch managed by their parent switch either 5k or 7k. even 2k does not have management console and do not have option to assign management IP, ports of 2k connected to 5k. this is what i know about 2k.

You can check if a device is currently certified in Spectrum by doing the following:

    1. Go to http://ehealth-spectrum.ca.com/devices/html/search.html

    2. Set the Product Line field to SPECTRUM

    3. Enter the search criteria in one of the fields provided:

    Certified Vendors
    Keyword Search
    System Object Identifier

NOTE: The System Object Identifier is the BEST search to use

    4. Click on the Search Database button

    thanks Joseph.

I know that 2k switch is certified with CA Spectrum but my concern is 2k switch does not have option to assign management IP this switch is managed by their parent switch.

You can try to run sapwalk utility on the SpectroSERVER and check if the device is responding to SNMP requests.

The sapwalk utility can be downloaded via ftp from ftp.ca.com in the /pub/CA-SPECTRUM/Tools/sapwalk2 directory. You can login as anonymous user with your email address as password to the ftp server.

How to run the utility can be found by just running the executable.
