    Hello,

We are planning to upgrade Spectrum from 9.3 to 10.0. We have a fault-tolerant environment with primary and secondary SpectroServers. Also we have load-balanced OneClick servers. Is there an upgrade plan so that our Spectrum application keeps running and processing alarms (either on primary or secondary) while we do the upgrade or do we have to stop all Spectrum components on all servers before we do the upgrade?

    Thank you,

    Hi Ankur,

You can use this process to ensure monitoring during your upgrade:

Shut down and upgrade your MLS first, followed by your OneClick servers.  Once those are all back up and running, do the rest of the primaries.  Once those are completed and up and running, do all of the secondaries.  Once it’s all done, you will need to cycle your tomcat services again, to ensure that the cache is updated properly with the updated server info (If you don’t do that last cycling, you will most likely see odd behavior with your OneClick).

    Cheers
