  • 1.  Spectrum and Cisco WLCs.  What's the latest?

    Posted Oct 27, 2015 07:23 AM

I'm not an expert in working with Cisco's WLCs however I have been asked how well Spectrum manages/monitors them.  So, a couple of questions some of which may be open ended.

Where does Spectrum stand in support of WLCs?

Are you able to capture configurations for WLCs?

How do you receive info from your APs?  Directly from the AP?  From the WLC?

We are currently using Spectrum 10.0, Will 10.1 have any additional features to support WLCs?

Best Practices when working with WLCs and APs?

    Anything I'm missing?

    Hello Skip.Taylor,

Cisco WLC & AP support is one the features of Spectrum 10.1 release. Beta Validation is in progress for 10.1. If you wish to Beta test this feature then please email me at Nagesh.Jaiswal@ca.com.

    Thanks,

    Nagesh

    Hi Nagesh,

Now at the Spectrum 10.2.1 with the WLC & AP management fully supported i would like to ask about the same initial questions.

Where does Spectrum stand in support of WLCs?

Are you able to capture configurations for WLCs?

How do you receive info from your APs?  Directly from the AP?  From the WLC?

Best Practices when working with WLCs and APs?

    Many thanks.
