We are using Spectrum 9.4 and using CABI as the reporting tool. We have a requirement to fetch alarm reports with the value of "Alarm Status" and "Troubleticket ID" columns of each alarm. CABI has the feature to pull "Troubleticket ID" column values; but we are unable to pull the values from "Alarm Status" column. We also tried to fetch the data from the database by using custom queries but we are unaware of the database schema of the reporting database. Kindly provide us a way to fetch this data.
You could use Add Hoc reporting to create an alarm report and select the Alarm Status and column and Trouble Ticket ID column as well as any other alarm column you like. If you select File -> New -> Web Intelligence Document and that will allow you to create the Ad Hoc report with the fields you want.
Thank you @scoch03 for your response. We are already using the Ad-hoc reporting functionality to create reports but we are unable to find the "Alarm Status" field in the available fields. Please refer the image.
We have searched the whole hierarchy but no sign of "Alarm Status" field.
In the Adhoc reports you have the ability to add a custom attribute in your report. The attribute id for Alarm Status is 0x11f4f.
Thanks again @Scoch03 but can you please elaborate on how to add a custom attribute ? We found the custom attribute ID, custom attribute Value etc; but we are not sure how to bring this into the report. We searched for the same in the documentations but failed to find any.
You can refer to the following for custom attribute being mentioned above.
Configure User-Defined Device Attribute Polling - CA Spectrum - 10.0 - CA Technologies Documentation
The document was helpful; however, the attributes that we could configure using the "devicemodel-polling.xml" file is specific to devices(model type) but the alarm status attribute is attached to the "Global Alarm" model. Are there any ways to refer the Alarm Status attribute in the Ad-hoc report ?
