Spectrum 9.4 compatible w/ CABI 3.2.0.6?

Hi,

 

I'm looking to upgrade Spectrum from 9.2.3 to 9.4 soon but won't be able to upgrade CABI to release 3.3 (currently 3.2.0.6) until a few weeks after the 9.4 upgrade. I've read a lot about the DB conversion to UTF-8 and wanted to know if I'd still be able to report on 9.4 SRM data w/ CABI 3.2?

Also, is it possible to upgrade from this CABI version to 3.3 directly?

The following is supported CABI versions officially

Spectrum Version	CABI Version
9.2	CABI 3.2
9.2 H08 and above, 9.3	CABI 3.3
9.4	CABI 3.3 SP1
10	CABI 4.1 SP3

I have seen 9.4 works with CABI 3.3 before but I am not 100% sure if 9.4 works with CABI 3.2. Spectrum 9.4 documentation (How to Install CA Business Intelligence (CABI) - CA Spectrum - 9.4.1 to 9.4.3 - CA Technologies Documentation ) said the following:

If you are using CABI 3.2, CABI 3.2 + FP32, and CABI 3.2 SP4, first upgrade to CABI 3.3 using CABI 3.2 SP5 R2 package. The upgrade path follows:

1. CABI 3.2/ CABI 3.2+FP32/CABI 3.2 SP4 to CABI 3.3 using CABI 3.2 SP5 R2 package. For instructions, see the Release Notes in the CABI 3.2 SP5 R2 package
