In the PAM we ticked the X11 under access methods in Device information.
when we access the server in pam through ssh, we did not see any difference.
can anyone give us a guideline how to access X windows in the PAM?
we saw some one configure putty service. do we need to use Putty service to access x Windows?
Hello Thomas, PAM does not provide the X11 server. Is that what you expected? Please find the following information in our online documentation at https://docops.ca.com/ca-privileged-access-manager/2-8-4/EN/implementing/provision-your-server/provisioning-devices/device-setup:
The SSH Access Method can provide X11 (X Windows v11) forwarding tunneled within SSH when: (1) the X11 Forward checkbox (which appears after choosing SSH from the drop-down) is selected, and (2) the user client computer has been configured with an X11 server (such as Xming, or OpenText (Hummingbird) Exceed).
Just noticed that the text I meant to paste here is missing. It's from the link above:
To make x11 work, you need to have a x11 supported utility installed on the local system. And then when u execute x window command on pam ssh terminal automatically you will see cli interface transforming to gui based on the utility installed on local system.
Thanks mate. I am going to try it today with another technical support.
