    Hello, we installed the SO08958 solution, but in the inventory it still shows Windows 2016.

    regards

    Make sure to install the patch on the Agent, Domain Manager, and any remote Admin Consoles.

    Thanks Steve, I checked and the installation of the fix was made with WinOffline, the original installation was in ... \ca\ agent\osconfig.xml and the utility left it in .. \ca\DSM\agent\osconfig.xml.

    We correct the installation of the agent and it works OK.

    regards

    Hi,

    Is there a way to include the solution SO08958 in the DSM agent for new installations? Or I need always to install the agent and then the solution SO08958?

    Thanks,

    If you are on 14.0SP2 there is feature where can customize the installation or upgrade process to install patch like  SO08958.  Below URL "Simplified Master Image Update" section.

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-client-automation/14-0/en/release-information-14-0-2/new-features-and-enhancements-of-14-0-2

    I have not modified my agents to install SO08958 yet, below is example InstallTestFixes.bat using for some other patches.   You could also call ApplyPTF.exe or WinOffline.exe from batch file too, keep in mind WinOffline has a .NET Framework requirement.

    Another approach is to use and SD policy to deploy SO08958.   Query where OS=Srv2016 and build number = 1809 or 1903 would work to ID your 2019 machines that need SO08958.

    @ECHO OFF
    :REM M. Treichler 03/2018 script attempts to
    :REM Copy TestFixes for OSIM agent install.
    :REM Install TestFixes for OSIM agent install.

    SET TESTFIXESVER=14.0.2000.255
    SET INSTLOG=TRC_installTestFixes.%TESTFIXESVER%.LOG
    SET ITRM_DIR=%ProgramFiles%\CA\DSM\Bin
    IF DEFINED ProgramW6432 (SET PROCARC=AMD64) ELSE (SET PROCARC=x86)

    ECHO Installing following patches via installTestFixes.bat >%TEMP%\%INSTLOG%
    DIR /b .\*.jcl >>%TEMP%\%INSTLOG%

    COPY /Y .\*.dll "%ITRM_DIR%\" >>%TEMP%\%INSTLOG%
    XCOPY /SEDCY .\*.exe "%ITRM_DIR%\" >>%TEMP%\%INSTLOG%
    IF %PROCARC%==x86 "%ITRM_DIR%\%PROCARC%\RCMirrorInstall.exe" -install >>%TEMP%\%INSTLOG%
    IF %PROCARC%==AMD64 "%ITRM_DIR%\%PROCARC%\RCMirrorInstall.exe" -install >>%TEMP%\%INSTLOG%

    Thanks Michael!
    The solution you have provided (Simplified Master Image Update) is the solution that I was looking for. I was not aware of this new feature.

    I have done a simple test that calls ApplyPTF executable to install the patch and it was a success. The Deploywrapper executes the InstallTestFixes.bat as expected.

    21268: 2019-07-26 13:06:03 : Finished runMSIWrapper selected agent installation ret = <0>
    21268: 2019-07-26 13:06:03 : invokePatchFile begin:
    21268: 2019-07-26 13:06:03 :    current dir <C:\ITCM\Windows_x86\Testfixes>
    21268: 2019-07-26 13:06:03 : runProcess cmd: "C:\ITCM\Windows_x86\Testfixes\InstallTestFixes.bat"
    21268: 2019-07-26 13:06:06 : invokePatchFile exit: 10

    Thanks for sharing the solution and for sharing your example script.

    Does the 14.3 agent have the support built in for 2019?

    Yes, 14.0SP3 includes Srv2019 agent support, also adds support for Srv2019 as Domain Manager or Scalability Server.

    Thank you.  Just to be clear, if the Domain Manager is not 2019, is there a file that needs to be updated to get the signature?

    14.0SP3 supports Srv2019 as DM, SS, and agent. per below

    https://community.broadcom.com/enterprisesoftware/blogs/jhapr01/2019/09/23/ca-client-automation-14-0-sp3-released?CommunityKey=371d6f54-97f7-4176-a609-48a847801934&Tab=

    Your DM doesn't have to be Srv2019,  Upgrade would typically go EM, DM, SS, DSM Explorer, & agents.   When EM, DM, SS, Explorer, & the Srv2019 agents are 14.0SP3 OS shows as Srv2019.    If you are are 14.0SP2, you could go with just SO08958 patch too, but 14.0SP3 gets all fixes and is better plan.
