    Hi,

We have installed and configured Patch Management on a Domain Manager.

Before installation of CA ITCM / Patch Management the server name was changed, rebooted etc.

For some reason in the Patch Management configuration. the server field still refers to the original name resulting in error

" [DownloadedPatchTask] FATAL [com.ca.pmengine.eventmanager] - Error connecting to DSM Server. Reason: SME_SPI_BADHOSTNAME The host name or address specified could not be resolved."

This occurs after the Patch has successfully downloaded and before it packages in Software.

In the configuration menu - Manager, the "Server" field contains the original incorrect name. This is greyed out and cannot be changed. "Web Service URL" is correct.  (See attached).

Can the "Server" field be changed via Registry / Tomcat Config file / MDB etc?

A workaround is to add the incorrect server name to hosts file thereafter packaging of the Patch works ok but this interferes with Scalability Name for machines reporting to Domain Manager.

    Regards

    Wayne
