is there some best practice to use deployment to manage Windows AD roaming profiles?
What are the advantages of managing this scenario using software distribution environment? If it is possibile....

When you install your applications make sure you send the proper parameters to specify where the application should save its user settings and user specific data. There are usually installation options specified by the vendor. They may either be command line options or houses in an installation configuration file. This will be vendor and package specific.
