SW Re-Staging to scalability servers

When staging a software package to scalability server libaries, the packages fail with message that it is already staged, but in the SW library below the scalability server, the stage record is not present.  How can you re-stage a sw package?  How can you correct the mdb entries?

There is a resync procedure.  it  is one of the SD procedures for the ss server package.

Hi Bill, the easiest way to run the sync job is by going to All Computers, select the Scalability Server, expand Software>Installed Packages and right click on the Scalability Server packages and select Schedule Activate Job > Synchronize Software Staging Library like in the following screenshot:

    Kind regards, Xavier.

I ran the sync sw staging library task.  It does not correct the issue.

There seems to be an indication that the mdb thinks the sw is staged, but it does not show in the GUI.

    Hi Bill,

Is the stage job failing at the SS, or during the job evaluation phase at the DM? An easy way to tell is to look at the DTS tab, if the package is being transferred to the SS by DTS, it is failing on the SS. If the DTS transfer is not happening, it is failing at the DM.

When we attempt to stage a package "Package A", it fails and says that Package A is already staged to the scalability servers, but when you look at the staging folder within the package or the software staged below the scalability server, Package A is not listed.

    Hi Bill,

What is the output of following SQL Query ?

    use mdb
    select h.host_name, r.itemname, r.itemversion
    from usd_applic a, usd_actproc p, usd_rsw r, ca_discovered_hardware h
    where a.target=h.dis_hw_uuid and a.actproc=p.objectid and p.rsw=r.objectid and
    a.activity<>0x00000000000000000000000000000000
and a.actproc in (select objectid from usd_actproc where itemname='delivery proc' and type=2 and task=0)
and a.status in (2,3) and a.activity not in (select objectid from usd_activity)

Do you see the package and Scalability server in problem in result of this query ?

    Regards,

    Jean-Yves

Bill - Recommend you to open a support issue. Maybe a Webex session is the best way to resolve this.
