I would also make sure that the IP address of the target machine is resolvable by IP address , hostname and FQDN and also make sure that from the target that the
Domain Manager is resolvable by pinging (syntax ping -a IP , hostname , FQDN) if it doesn't resolve try adding etc/host entries on both machines. Then retry the deployment. I would also look over the requirements listed in the CA Client Automation Implementation Guide on page 251- 254 under the heading
Prerequisites for Automatically Deploying Client Automation Infrastructure.
Also review the required ports for deployment in the Implementation Guide
Appendix B: Ports Used by CA Client Automation page 515. specific ports used for deployment are listed on page 520.
