    Posted Aug 03, 2016 02:42 PM

    Hello,

I am trying to create a Query that returns members of a specific OU.

The Default Directory Synchronization Job completes successfully.

When creating the Query using only a Directory Query and browsing to and selecting the desired branch.

When I save it I get this message:

It is also interesting that the Filter section is grayed out, so when I double-click anything it does not respond.

What can I test to find out what the issue is?

    Thanks!!!

And the SQL View of the Query is:

    SELECT * FROM ca_discovered_hardware WHERE  dis_hw_uuid IN (0x00000000000000000000000000000000)

    Hi Jeff,

You said that the default directory integration job runs successfully, but have you actually checked that it is configured to integrate the same directory you are trying to query on?

    Hi Jeff,

Maybe ITCM Domain has some problem to query the Active Directory.

Check in DSM\logs\TRC_AMMGR*.log if you could see ERROR lines at date/time of error message.

    Example :

040816-15:57:03.1134210L|007220|00000f74|AMManager |amLog           |cAmoDirsearch.cpp   |000276|ERROR  | Directory search error, co-api error: Could not find the requested directory object.  Please check the directory request issued.

The error message could give an indication on problem with Active Directory

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Jean-Yves

    Hi Jeff,

Please reproduce the error message and check in DSM\logs\TRC_AMMGR*.log On DOMAIN Manager if you could see ERROR lines at date/time of error message.

    Example :

040816-15:57:03.1134210L|007220|00000f74|AMManager |amLog           |cAmoDirsearch.cpp   |000276|ERROR  | Directory search error, co-api error: Could not find the requested directory object.  Please check the directory request issued.

The error message should give good indication of cause of problem.

    Regards,

    Jean-Yves

    Hi Jeff

At this point I would recommend you raise a support case so we can work with you in depth to find the cause of the issue.

    regards

That is my plan when I have time.

    Low priority right now.

    Thanks Richard.
