  • 1.  Directory "CA\DSM\AllertCollectorInput", what is it for?

    Hi all,

I was looking at my EM an noticed that the folder "CA\DSM\AllertCollectorInput" has more than 200.000 itens.

This is impacting our backup processes, is it safe to empty this directory?

    Thank you.

    HI

That looks like you may have enabled the health monitoring agent collection and configured some alerts

you should check the dsm policy under this to see what was configured

    - Domain/Control Panel/Configuration/Configuration Policy/Default Computer Policy/DSM/Health Monitoring/

you can verify if this is enabled under" Enable Health Monitoring "

That folders purge policy should be controlled by this policy setting

    - Domain/Control Panel/Configuration/Configuration Policy/Default Computer Policy/DSM/Health Monitoring/Alert Collector

Alert Purge Maximum Age  by default it is set to 60 days

    Hope this is helpful

    Hi Joseph,

I checked and it is enabled at Default Computer Policy. I changed the Alert Purge Maximum Age to 1 day to see if the purge is working, but all xml files are still in there.

Since we're not relying on HM for now, I disabled it and will be testing it on a separate environment.

    Thank you.
