    Hello
I managed easily to create SAP JOBS

I manage to create a different JOB in OA for each STEP in SAP
I would like to know if we can have in OA:
1 JOB in OA  (with the SAP steps) -> 1 job in SAP but with several steps in SAP
with the steps I can "see" in OA

    thanks

    Hi @Peter.Grundler
i have 2 questions regarding SAP jobs as i have not tried these. please help.

is there a limit in terms of Steps for each job?
if i need to give a wait time between 2 steps, how that can be achieved in the job.

    Hi Shani,

    >is there a limit in terms of Steps for each job?

in Automic there is a predefined limitation of max. 1000 lines of JCL per any JOBS object. This can be changed using :PUT_ATT
Furthermore there might be a limitation in SAP - pls check with the respecive team.

    >if i need to give a wait time between 2 steps, how that can be achieved in the job.

As you might know from the Automic trainings the script statement :WAIT <seconds> cannot be used - not for SAP nor any other JOBS platform. So please ask the SAP basis team if there is already an ABAP available which can be used to pause the sequence. Alternatively you can ask to create a new ABAP (https://answers.sap.com/questions/2813454/please-help-i-need-a-sleep-program.html)

    regards,
