  • 1.  How can I copy a system VARA from 0000 to another client?

    Hello everybody,

I would like to enable the "Send To" function, which is configured in two variables. They are supplied with system client 0000 and can be copied to other clients and customized as needed. With the old Java-UI I know how to copy the varas.

But how does it work with AWI 12.3.1?

At least dragging from one browser tab (Firefox 68.1.0esr) to the other doesn't work for me. And I also could not find something like "Move Vara to Client..." in the context menu...

    Thank you in advance
    Tim

    Hi Tim,
    Do you mean this https://docs.automic.com/documentation/webhelp/english/AA/12.3/DOCU/12.3/Automic%20Automation%20Guides/help.htm#AWA/Variables/VARA_UsageOtherClients.htm?

    Hi Tatjana,

thank you for your fast response!

No, I mean this: https://docs.automic.com/documentation/webhelp/english/AA/12.3/DOCU/12.3/Automic%20Automation%20Guides/help.htm#AWA/Variables/UC_SENDTO_UC_SENTTO_ACT.htm This document states "They are supplied with system client 0000 and can be copied to other clients and customized as needed." Unfortunately there is no description of how to copy the variables into another client (or at least I can't find the document; a link would be nice).

    Best regards,
    Tim

At this time, the solution would be to use xml export/import to another client.

To whom it may concern: I created an idea regarding "Unifying context menus between Process Assembly and Administration" because there is in inconsistency regarding "Move"...
