Plan upgrade v12.2 to V21

Hi all,

I'm having a hard time finding the correct upgrade path for the upcoming v21 release.

I currently have a 12.2.6 Automic system with corresponding automic agents.
Will it be possible to upgrade to v21 directly ? (skipping v12.3) (I understand the need to manage TLS during upgrade as prerequisite).

Also , do we know if 12.2.6 agents will work with v21 Automic system ?

Yes, TLS is mandatory with V21. Here is the link to the Academy:

You can upgrade from 12.2 --> 21 and the 12.2 agents will connect to the V21 Automation Engine via the TLS Gateway.

Hi agian,

still in the same Topic, I'd like to find the file "chngdb.sql" mentionned in the documentation but I cannot find it in for instance : 

Automation.Engine_db_12_3_6+hf.3.build.1631608000599.zip\db\

So maybe I'm not looking in the right direction ? 

I'd like a clear view on the schema changes. Any ideas how to do that with precision ?

Hi Casimir,

This file was present in older versions. Now all the db changes are in the steps folder(s). I will create a case to either remove the mention of this file chngdb.sql or to change it to something that exists.
There is also an upgrade checker package available on our Marketplace. This will include version 21 shortly (version 1.1.6).

Well I have another question still in the same topic ...
Do you guys know if the SNMP agent is still supported in v21 ? 
I heard it would not be, but I can see documentation on how to set it up in the v21 Documentation.​

The update checker just returns the same information as the documentation, it did not list the schema changes, is there another update to the tool coming?
