  • 1.  Linux Utility programs not executeable when extracted from tar.gz file

    In some recent releases of the Automation Engine Utility programs, the programs have not had the owner execute bit set when they were extracted from the .tar.gz file. It would save us time and trouble if Automic could ensure that the build & packaging process were updated to make sure that the owner execute bit is set on these programs. Thanks.

    This problem remains in version 12.0.3. Programs that should have the execute bit set, but do not, are marked in bold.

  • 3.  Linux Utility programs not executeable when extracted from tar.gz file

    Until this problem is fixed by Automic, we run this additional command whenever installing the AE DB Utilities — after the programs have been extracted from the .tar.gz file, but before they are used the first time.
    $ chmod a+x ucyblgmx ucybdbrt ucybdbrr ucybchng
