Hi there,
We are using AE version 9 on Unix platform. Our DBA informed us of deadlock alerts being triggered by UC4 database recently, "ORA-00060: Deadlock detected". We checked the WP/CP logs and found frequent time critical db calls in the CP logs. This usually happens when someone logs on or logs off.
20170324/051018.606 - U0003524 UCUDB: ===> Time critical DB call! OPC: 'CMIT' time: '3:088.935.000'
20170324/051509.198 - U0003524 UCUDB: ===> Time critical DB call! OPC: 'CMIT' time: '3:570.605.000'
20170324/052521.391 - U0003524 UCUDB: ===> Time critical DB call! OPC: 'CMIT' time: '3:146.859.000'
20170324/053215.040 - U0003524 UCUDB: ===> Time critical DB call! OPC: 'CMIT' time: '3:523.801.000'
In WP it is also seen but is very less frequent.
I have also examined the MQ's and the count for MQMEM has been constant for as long as I can remember.
MQPWP Count: 1 Queue-Length (1/10/60): 0 / 0 / 0
MQWP Count: 0 Queue-Length (1/10/60): 0 / 0 / 0
MQDWP Count: 0
MQMEM Count: 354
MQRWP Count: 0 Queue-Length (1/10/60): 0 / 0 / 0
MQOWP Count: 0 Queue-Length (1/10/60): 0 / 0 / 0
As of now we are not seeing any performance issues as such. The only thing we noticed as the oraarch mount filling up quicker than before. UC4 utilities have been running once every week. Please suggest if there is any cause for concern.
Thanks,
Kumar
