Tech Tip: License error- The CmContainer with serial 128-XXXXXXX was not found

Issue:

While applying an online license key for Agile Designer, we received the following error message: 

 

Error 
The CmContainer with serial 128-XXXXXXX was not found. Please connect it to your PC or use Offline license transfer.

Environment:

CA Agile Requirements Designer (ARD)- Agile Designer

Cause:

You may receive this error message for the following reasons:

1. If you are missing the AgileDesigner license container in CodeMeterCC.

2. If you are trying to transfer a license to your machine that has already been activated on another. 

3. If your internet security is blocking the online license transfer method. 

Resolution:

Resolution for cause #1. If you are missing your AgileDesigner license container in CodeMeterCC.

• First you will need to import the license container.

• Then continue with the online application method.

Resolution for cause #2. If you are trying to transfer a license to your machine that has already been activated on another. 

• You will not be able to transfer a previously activated license from one machine to another.

Resolution for cause #3. If your internet security is blocking the online license transfer method. 

• You will need to use the Offline transfer method as noted in the error message.
