  • 1.  Enabling Space monitoring for all NAS/NFS filesystems on a server

    Posted Feb 28, 2020 11:38 AM
    As part of the server build process we are monitoring all filesystems on Linux servers by deploying CDM Super package. Untill we "Enable space monitoring" for NAS/NFS filesystems these NAS/NFS filesystems space monitoring are in disabled state.We have to manually enable each one of NAS/NFS file system to monitor them. Is there anyway we can enable space monitoring for NAS/NFS filesystems on a server by modifying cdm.cfx file?

    We have "nfs_space_check = yes" under cdm.cfx file.

    can you attach your CDM package and the resulting CDM.cfg from a target system so we can review and see what might be causing the problem?

    Hi Vishnu,
    I own the support case that you've opened for this issue.  I didn't see a response to my request for files yet.  I'll give you a call and see if we can work through this.
    Regards,
    Derek

    I tend to lean customers away from monitoring nfs since it is physically on another box where it is being monitored, but I believe this will work in your superpack to include in filesystem type.
    filesystem_type_regex = ext*|ufs|vxfs|reiserfs|cifs|nfs

    Thank you Gregg.  I just spoke with Vishnu and he reported that your resolution worked great for him.
