    Hi all,

As of UIM version 9.20, is it no longer possible to add other SQL databases (other than the NIS)? The option to add another database source seems to have disappeared, and my connection to my QoS DB doesn't work anymore...

    Cheers,

    this is still available.
It is just hidden by default

Check your wasp and portal logs for errors on existing connection problems.
The connection information is stored in the wasp.cfg now

    Thanks Gene,

Sorry, I mean't the additional database you could add in 8.5.1:

My CAUIM connection no longer works after upgrading to 9.20

On the upside I've found the "+" sign to add another DB, so I'm guessing the functionality is still there..

Wonder if the config over overwritten when upgrading perhaps..

I would need to see your wasp.cfg and the connection string you have setup.
Set your wasp loglevel to 3 and restart and check your wasp and portal logs for errors about the connection.
make sure you have a path to the proper driver in this case MySQL

    Thanks Gene,

Here's a snippet of the Wasp.cfg, the settings are still in there.

I would try deleting it an adding it back again.
the / in the name could be causing you a problem in the new version:
    This is documented here:

that is not what a 9.20 dashboard should look like,
it should look like the below when adding an additional database

that looks like an 8.51 screen.
If you have recently upgraded make sure you clear your browser cache from the beginning of time.
But yes you can still make connections to external databases in 9.20 with JDBC connections.
