can CMF be used instead of RMF for mainframe z/os dataservice probe perquisite?

Hello all,

Mainframe team is trying to assess whether uim mainframe integration is feasible.
One of the requirements for setting up the data service probe is configuring the RMF component on the mainframe.
Mainframe team is using Bmc's option called CMF. is this something interchangeable at the probe configuration level
or does it definitely have to be RMF.

Don't know, usually when something is specified it is required. 
That said go ahead and test it out and see if it does or does not work.

That would be considered an enhancement request (support use of CMF) since its BMC-specific.
