    HI all

    can anyone suggest if we can use snmpcollector to monitor hardware components of servers through ILOM

    My guess is no, snmpcollector must have a snmp client to communicate with at the device side. 

    You can test via any sapwalk tool.

    As the name says, snmpcollector is collecting data via SNMP. If the ILOM has snmp capabilities, you can surely monitor it. As far as I know, ILOM supports also SNMP traps, so you can configure it to send traps to snmptd.

    Yes, you can monitor via SNMP. By default you don't get that much information via snmpcollector, though.

    hi all 

    i tried connecting to the server trough snmpcollector but not even basic network,Ram,CPU etc only parameters are getting detected

    is this limitation of snmpcollector or do we need to change or add something at server end

    You could try configuring ILO to SNMP Pass-thru and enabling SNMP on the host operating system.
