PostgreSQL monitoring

Hi all,

I am trying to monitor postgreSQL using jdbc_response probe.
I have deployed jdbc_response 1.25 on one of my hubs and configured connections successfully using Infrastructure Manager as well.
Now when i go to USM to configure monitoring for PostgreSQL i dont see any profile with PostgreSQL name.
Do i need to deploy any additional package for that ?

Might have to deploy mon_config_service_templates probe to primary hub so mon_config_service probe can see the postgresql template

what version of UIM are you using?
May need to apply the latest MCS hotfix.

I am using 9.2.0 
Do i need to use any hot fix ?

I do not believe the jdbc_response probe can be configured in USM/MCS if I am not mistaken.   There is no jdbc_response_mcs_templates package.  You would configure this probe using Admin Console or Infrastructure Manager.

Never mind I see this in the docs:

Install the postgreSQL MCS Profile Type

To install the postgreSQL MCS Profile Type, see Configure Monitoring with Profile Types. Note that for postgreSQL, there is one profile which combines setup and monitoring. PostgreSQL monitoring is implemented as an MCS Profile Type only. There is no Admin Console configuration.



However I do not see this available in my 9.2.0 lab either - I would suggest opening a support case.

I have gone through this article but i couldn't find what exactly to install as there is no mcs package for either jdbc or postresql.

I think you should open a support case, this appears to be missing in 9.2.0.
