  • 1.  Can UIM new installation using an existing UIM database

    We want to upgrade their uim to the newer version(20.3).

    But the version of uim that customer using now is 8.3.x.

    So we want to install a new installation of 20.3 in their environment.

    Can we use the 8.3.x uim database in our new installation environment?

    no you can not.
    To use your existing database you would have to upgrade to 8.51 then to 9.02 then to 20.3
    You would be better served just doing a clean install and starting over.
