Archive Issue

Validating the Core NMS archive, I checked that the probe 'snmpcollector' has the following status:

I downloaded it, the probe zip folder appeared in the correct folder.

But it still does not show up in the NMS archive. =/

    Someone have any idea ?

Did you try Security->Login (relogin) and then choose Tools->Options to select the primary hub? Try that first to refresh the view.

    Stephen,

I take the print from NMS Server via Remote Desktop logged in Infrastructure Management inside the NMS Server (Windows)

    Stephen,

I do not know why, but I am inside NMS via Remote Desktop and I downloaded a probe from nimsoft.support.com (logged by IM) and the download is completed (done), but it is not showed on IM.

    Take a look:

Try closing and re-opening the IM console.

Make sure the console is logged into the correct hub.

Make sure a copy of the licenses have been added at that hub.

    David.

    Thanks for the reply

    Follow my comments:

Try closing and re-opening the IM console.

--> Already tried, logout and login on server NMS again and logout and login on IM

Make sure the console is logged into the correct hub.

--> Yes, I am sure. I am inside the NMS Core of CAUIM and logged in IM. Follow configuration of IM.

Make sure a copy of the licenses have been added at that hub

    --> Licenses added again.

Unfortunately, the problem continues on our environment.

Stop the distsrv probe and then start it. It will re-reach its local archive and show up properly.

After its started, r-click in archive and do a Refresh.

    Daniel,

    Thanks for your reply.

The following procedure was executed inside the Core NMS via Remote Desktop

We stoped the probe (deactivate) and , after some time, activated the probe.

After some time, r-click in Archive via IM and select 'Refresh'.

    Nothing changed.

Then, we tried to download the probe snmpcollector again.

After the end of download, the following error shows up for the first time.

The NMS Core does not have firewall or antivirus.

With the distsrv at loglevel 5, keep the log open and try again and see if there are any errors.

I agree with Daniel. Deactivate and activate distsrv probe might help.

Okay do this.. just go to the probe downloads page:

    http://support.nimsoft.com/Default.aspx?center=felles/archive

Download the probe you want locally. Copy to the primary hub box and put it in the archive folder. Then stop distsrv probe, start it.

Or you could open IM on the Primary Hub box and manually import that probe into the archive. r-click import and select the file.

There might be a GPO policy on the primary hub that doesn't allow exe's/zip's to be downloaded to the %TEMP% drive. I had that at a very restrictive client environment and had to do all archive updates that way. Downloaded every one then massive import.

    Dear All,

    This case was solved.

My archive from Core NMS was corrupted.

We desactivated the distribution server probe, removed the folder Archive from C: and activated the probe again.

After all, we were able to distribute the probe correctly.
