QUERY REGARDING QOS UPDATION OF ALERT IN CAUIM

Hi Team,

In our environment, when we do configuration changes to a particular drive of a server ,all the alerts related to that server are getting refreshed .The older QOS of the alert  is getting cleared and new QOS is getting generated for all the alerts related to the server.

 

In other words,the alarm is getting auto closed and a new alarm is getting created for all the alerts on that server.

 

Please let us know the reason behind this to avoid unnecessary auto closure of alerts and new alerts getting triggered.

Some probes on startup close all existing alerts and open new ones. Some other probes remember what was open and continue where they left off. For some probes the behavior is configurable.

 

Here, you are seeing the behavior where, on startup, CDM closes existing alerts and opens new ones.

Hi Garin,

Appreciate your effort .But the thing is ,it was not the case before.All the QOS used to be there,and the change was applied only to the particular drive it was meant for!! so what caused this to happen now?

Really not understanding what's going on. Never heard of qos metrics getting cleared. Do you mean the metrics stop showing up in reports??? Best to provide full details of the config and problems along with some specific examples shown in images and or logs.
