  • 1.  Static alarm for CDM probe

    Hi Community,

I wonder if the CDM probe can make an alarm using 'less' (<) operators? because we need an alarm if cpu utilization is less than 60% it will generate a minor alarm and if cpu utilization more than 80% it will generate a major alarm.
I've tried using snmpcollector and it works fine, but is there a way that the CDM probe can do the same thing?

    Thanks,

    Andre

Currently no this can not be done with the cdm probe static alarms.

with the dynamic alarms this can be done.

May I know the rule for dynamic alarms? Because if I use a dynamic alarm, the threshold of each hour will not be the same.

I have not had a chance to test this fully.

the dynamic alarms would be a percentage of the baseline value

You could set the minor alarm to be <= 60 of the computed baseline to send this alarm.

If this does not meet your needs then you would need to open an ER.

Thank you for helping me, Gene.

I guess I need to open an ER.
